Thank you for taking the time to visit this website! Here you can learn a bit more about me and story so far in my sports career, the best is yet to come. With a lifestyle dedicated to everything related with TRI, my website is a slice of the big and little things that give me motivation and fuel my passion.

It's not a problem - after you begin training for triathlon anything looks easier to accomplish!

Triathlon is sport that is becoming one of the most diverse and powerful ways to explore and test the human ability. It is a lifestyle sport that I've fully embraced and love to share with others. I compete as an age group triathlete always pushing myself at competitive level. I undertake up to 18 hours a week of training.

Born and raised in the City of Varazdin, in the North of Croatia, I excelled in sport from a young age. An ideal climate coupled with a very outdoor, sport oriented family ensured me I would partake in numerous sports from young age. My competitive nature, drive to succeed and my preserverance stem from an early start in sports. Competition has taught me to be humble, respectful and supportive of  fellow competitors.

What started as a casual personal challenge inadvertently gave me a mission and a sports career that still feels like a dream. I'm currently training for the middle and long distance triathlon events with hopefully many years to come.

Triathlon is a sport which allows me to push myself to the limit of my abilities and to constantly recalibrate my goals. I believe that you are always able to push for new dreams and achievements and I have found fulfillment through triathlon. No matter what distance I do, it is everyday mental and physical challenges that pushes me to grow as a triathlete and as a person and that keeps my passion for this sport so strong. I enjoy most competing at half Ironman distance. My favorite discipline depends on the course.  Even though I live in flat Varazdin city, I really love the challenges of big climbs on the bike.

Not only the physical training you put into the sport, but the mental strategy and planning that goes into making your race successful is a thrill to me. I strongly believe that anything can be achieved once you set your mind on it. One of my goals is to promote healthy lifestyles in and beyond community through sports activities. My vision is to transcend the boundaries of the triathlon and represent the importance of a sound mind, body, and diet in achieving dreams. The 100% me campaign is about being a true athlete and retaining the values of clean, fair competition. 100% me embodies and celebrates five key values: hard work, determination, passion, respect and integrity. Be true to yourself, stay clean! It's not cool to dope! Say NO to doping!

Here are some facts about me that you may not know.

Triathlon Club: Love to be just an individual triathlete

Athletic Background: Nothing endurance related. I have been involved in sports for 15 years. I was initially a basketball player, but unfortunately I sustained a bad leg injury and I had to follow medical advice to stop playing. Initially I was faced with the prospect of not being able to continue to compete and it appeared that my sports career might have ended. However through determination and the support of medical practitioners I was able to return to basketball after a gap of 2 years. I played for my university team in the student championships for a further 2 years. Sport had become very important to me during my recovery from leg injury where I was completely immobile for 2 years. It makes me enormously grateful to even be walking and running, and sometimes I wonder I do the things I do. I have since learned to stop listen to negative voices of people telling you what you can't do, because as a general rule you can achieve anything you set your mind to.

Triathlon Debut:  July 2009.  My first triathlon competition took place in my hometown. This triathlon was part of the new summer triathlon league and it was a sprint distance triathlon which involved the use of my mountain bike rather than racing road bike. I immediately fell in love with this sport and happily did not suffer any adverse injury complications either.

Favourite Race:  IRONMAN Lanzarote, Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote island, Canary Islands, Spain

Why I love Triathlon: The fact that you get out what you put in and the opportunities to travel even if it is with a bike.
