🥈 (2nd) place (only 13sec.! behind winner) at 36th edition of well-known Triathlon de Gérardmer XL 2024 (1.9km swim, 93km bike / +1890m elevation, 21.1km /+240m elevation). Thomas has total finish time 4h:24:44 (24:08 / 2:43:48 / 1:12:29) again with the most fastest 21.1km run split (3:25/km) on run course with significant elevation gain. This was the first race for Thomas in France in his competitive 2024 triathlon race season and first start ever in Triathlon de Gérardmer.

On July, 30., Thomas Steger has finished as 3rd overall in one of the most well-known triathlon race in France - 19th edition of legendary Alpe d'Huez Triathlon 2025 (2.2km swim, 118km bike / +32oom elevation, 20km run / +340m elevation).

Alpe d'Huez Triathlon has become a benchmark race in the international calendar thanks to its difficulty and the beauty of the course. It starts with the swim at the reservoir Lac du Verney then cycling features the 21 bends used by the Tour de France as it climbs 1120m to the ski resort of Alpe d'Huez for the run.

Thomas crossed finish line with total finish time: 5h:35min:19sec. (swim: 28:09; bike: 3:51:23; run: 1:12:02). Thomas had the 3rd fastest bike split and 4th fastest run split.

It’s important to mention that this year’s top 3 men’s (including Thomas) have all finished with record course finish times in relation to all previos winners of total 19th editions.

The Triathlon EDF Alpe d’Huez named after its sponsor Électricité de France (EDF), was established in 2006 by Cyrille Neveu who was in 2002 Long Course Triathlon World Champion.

🥈 (2nd) place  41. edition of EmbrunMan 2025
Since its inaugural edition in 1984, the Embrunman has been known as one of the toughest triathlons in the world - an extreme long distance triathlon in the heart of French Alps.

The Embrunman course is undoubtedly one of the most demanding on the world triathlon circuit with challenging terrain and unpredictable weather conditions. It consists of three consecutive disciplines, spanning long distances and challenging terrain:

- 3,8km swim into the cold, clear waters of Lake de Serre-Ponçon at dawn with the mountains as a backdrop
- 186km bike renowned for its difficulty with +3600m elevation including the iconic ascent of the Col d'Izoard (2,360 m), a legendary Tour de France mountain pass. The course features a series of mountain passes, technical descents, and tiring false flats, putting both legs and mind to the test
- 42.2 km brutal marathon run on a hilly course around Embrun city, with numerous climbs and long, slightly flat climbs. After more than 9 hours of effort for some, the running becomes a true test of mental endurance

Thomas is 1st ever Pro Triathlete from Austria who finished on podium in legendary EmbrunMan triathlon event! It was his first ever start at EmbrunMan! And the most important his finish time is 3rd best ever finish time of all Pro Male Triathletes in 41 years of organization of EmbrunMan!

His finish time was: 9h:24min:40sec. with time splits:Â 50:11 (3.8km swim); 5:38:26 (3rd best bike split; 186km); 2:51:50 (3rd best run split; 42.2km run).

Thomas came first off the bike and was leading the race till 29km of run course, when catched him Louis Richard, Pro Triathlete from France who won EmbrunMan 2025.
